Real Planning, Real People. Thoughtful Outcomes.

Meet Calvin (70) and Sam (63)
Calvin spent his career in sales management, and Sam spent her career in a high up IT position. Calvin has been retired for the past 3 years, has already started taking his social security benefit, has a pension, and has money that was rolled over into an IRA that he manages himself. He currently does not take distributions from his IRA, but he is worried about RMDs and he is also worried he might need to start taking withdrawals since Sam is getting ready to retire. Sam is worried that she wants to retire at 64 and is under the impression retirement age is 65 and she won’t be able to touch her retirement accounts, but she’s incredibly burnt out from the demands of her IT job and she knows she’s ready for retirement. Sam also doesn’t want to manage her own investments like Calvin has been doing. They have 3 kids, and 2 grandchildren. They own their home, and don’t have a Will or any estate planning done, and they are now starting to think about those things but aren’t sure what to do. They also want to limit their lifetime tax bill as much as possible. They want to travel more and they want to spend as much time as possible with their children and grandchildren. They came to Artistic Wealth for help, and this is a sample of what their plan would look like.
